Welcome
welcome from the ceos
As the new joint CEOs, we are delighted to welcome you to the autumn edition of Stars.
Congratulations to Hôtel Plaza Athénée, which was ranked number one in Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards, and to The Dorchester for being crowned Best Hotel in London at the Condé Nast Traveller 2023 Readers’ Choice Awards. These are highly prestigious awards, and to have two of them in such quick succession brought much pleasure.
Our hotels have always represented a certain way of life, so little wonder that our London, Paris and Milan properties played starring roles when the world’s style icons recently gathered for the European Fashion Weeks. At The Beverly Hills Hotel, a successful summer of events culminated in a collaboration with Dior that saw a bold and beautiful pop-up by the hotel pool. As you’ll read, legendary moments like these are to be truly treasured.
As Dorchester Collection continues to evolve, so, too, does our global reach and elevated brand presence. We’re thrilled to inform you of the Tokyo Torch project breaking ground: construction is officially underway for what will become our first Asia-Pacific hotel. And The Lana is stepping forward as a natural landmark in the glittering destination of Dubai. A very warm welcome to new colleagues and employees who have moved to this vibrant city to establish a new Dorchester Collection gem: our first hotel in the Middle East. We will be covering these new hotels in our next issue.
We recognise your hard work and thank you for your dedication to excellence.
