Stars: Awards
We want all our employees to feel valued and respected,
so we truly embrace diversity and celebrate differences
Winner:
Vincent Lenfant, Hôtel Plaza Athénée
Vincent Lenfant is a good example for his entire team. As director of room service, he is a true leader, working with and helping his team across all functions, immersing himself in challenges and issues to be able to better support them.
During the course of the year, Vincent’s highly experienced and close team was joined by new employees across other departments. Vincent adjusted his leadership style, became a link between team members and departments, and succeeded in creating one great team all pulling in the same direction.
This was remarkable in the context of the pandemic, as in-room dining was the only F&B department open for guest service. Even so, his team was able to deliver a consistently high quality of service for guests, despite a lower number of working employees.
Vincent’s approach is to never give up and always motivate all employees to do their best and to achieve the ultimate goal: the satisfaction of guests. Speaking after the awards, he said: “I want to thank Dorchester Collection for rewarding me. I am honoured to receive the manager of the year award for the respect category. It is a real pleasure to feel that my work has been recognised during this period.
“It has been a very tough year, but I took up the challenge every single day I spent at Hôtel Plaza Athénée. I also want to thank my team without whom this would not have happened. Thank you for being the people that you are.”
