Stars: Welcome
Say hello to a new era for Stars
A beacon of service, dignity and steadfastness, HM The Queen inspired us all in her unwavering duty. I wanted to start my introduction, given we are a UK-based company, by paying tribute to her commitment, leadership and ability to unite us all in times of uncertainty, and also by celebrating our new King and the start of a new era.
The Dorchester is entering a new era, too, with the ongoing major renovation of the hotel under way – the biggest since 1989. The excitement is already building for the grand unveiling this autumn of a new-look ground floor, including The Promenade and The Bar, as well as two guest floors.
This past summer we focused on alfresco dining with the creative use of space at CUT at 45 Park Lane, the rooftop of The Dorchester now in its second successful year and La Cour Jardin at Hôtel Plaza Athénée, which was transformed into a temporary outdoor cinema earlier this summer. Our culinary offering has also been strengthened by the new restaurant, Jean Imbert au Plaza Athénée, which has received rave reviews from our guests and the media. It has certainly heralded a new gastronomic era in Paris and created much buzz.
Earlier this year, we celebrated our Values Awards, which highlighted that our values of Passion, Personality, Respect, Working Together and Creativity are very much at the heart of our company and guide all we do. Our leadership team and I congratulate the winners on their highly impressive performances.
Lastly, I want to thank you all for your continual dedication to Dorchester Collection – you make the difference and are the reason that our guests come back time and time again.
