Winner: Hôtel Plaza Athénée
Red-hot passion holds true at Hôtel Plaza Athénée in Paris, which broke all records in 2022. £98.8m of revenue, coupled with outstanding guest satisfaction, owner satisfaction and employee satisfaction, stand to showcase the hard work, dedication and teamwork of all involved. It’s a deserved recognition of an outstanding team in what was Hôtel Plaza Athénée’s best year ever. “We are so proud to achieve the best gross operating profit ever, the best F&B revenue and the best ESS result, and the best guest engagement!” says François Delahaye, general manager and COO. “I am so grateful for this award, which recognises everyone’s dedication throughout 2022.”
Highly commended: The Beverly Hills Hotel
2022 was simultaneously one of the most exciting and turbulent years in The Beverly Hills Hotel’s history. Beginning with concern over another variant of Covid-19 and changes at senior management, the hotel impressed during a spectacular Super Bowl, achieving record revenues over a single weekend. Over the summer, it went from strength to strength, increasing forecasts weekly and ending with a record-breaking $131.9m in revenue, exceeding budgeted occupancy. As a general manager from a competitor hotel recently remarked: “In this market, there is The Beverly Hills Hotel and then there is the rest of us.” We couldn’t agree more.
