Winner: The Dorchester, Front of House team

Adaptability and flexibility were key team attributes during renovations at The Dorchester, which continued apace in 2022. The front of house team, which includes everyone from front office and sense of arrival to guest relations and the operators, were undeniably the most affected. From transplanting the lobby and hotel entrance to settling into a new event space, information needed to be carefully communicated to guests to lessen any impact. The creation of a borderless front of house concept vastly improved the guest experience during this time, and the team swiftly and professionally pivoted the way it operated and delivered impeccable service to guests.

“Winning Team of the Year is great recognition for our front of house colleagues, who have shown what can be accomplished with a ‘one team’ mindset and a ‘guest-centric’ approach to all we do,” says Veronica Evers, director of rooms.


Highly Commended, Hotel Principe di Savoia, Executive Team

Generously collaborating and working with teams across multiple sites can present challenges but, most of all, opportunities for growth and relationship-building between teams. For this reason, Annalisa Lanfranchi, area guest intelligence manager, comes in highly commended for the Working Together Award. Her support for Hôtel Plaza Athénée during the launch of its service excellence was invaluable and, even though she was heavily involved in the preparation and planning of Hotel Principe di Savoia’s own launch for service excellence, Annalisa agreed with pleasure and without hesitation to assist the sister property.
